Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. We went to Flatwoods and had a busy, fun, crazy time! Our good friends the Smiths (no relation that I know of) went with us so that added to the fun. This was their first experience in the country so hopefully it was a good one. We ate a lot of good food, colored eggs, hid eggs, hunted eggs, hid them again, found them again, played ping pong, horseshoes, jumped on the moon bounce, had a bon fire, roasted marshmallows, tried to make s'mores, ate more, sang karaoke, went to the river. Did I mention that we ate a a lot? Whew, I am tired just thinking about it all. No wonder we all fell asleep in the car on the way back! Plus, the Easter Bunny came. Good thing the girls left a note telling him where they would be. They think of everything. Of course, the weekend was not without a few mishaps. Alyssa fell down a flight of stairs in the middle of the night because she wanted to try to see the Easter Bunny! Poor, sneaky kid. Luckily, she was not hurt. The next morning during breakfast, Makenna flipped a fairly high and heavy barstool over. Scared us to death but thankfully, again, she was not hurt . Look forward to going back soon but next time we are bringing a couple of bubbles for the kids!
